In current times, the Delica is one of the most popular JDM Vans to be used in the adventure van movement, for its spacious and utilitarian interior, indestructible Turbo Diesel engine, and its all traversing drivetrain.
Though publicly stated 21 years after this van was marketed, Mitsubishi’s 2018 slogan, “Drive your Ambition”, stands true throughout all generations. This P35W is pushed along by its 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine, the 4D56-T. Cold winter startups are a breeze; a turn of the key warms the glow plugs, and cylinder temperatures rise with each cycle, making it easier to start. This workhorse was never offered in the United States, however parts sourcing is still easy thanks to suppliers around the globe. Its analog transmission is preferred by many for its simplicity, shifting through all gears without worry.
