The golden era of 90’s Japanese sports cars cannot go without mentioning the R32. With options that allowed customers to have the look of a sporty coupe in the basic GTS, to having a race-focused speed demon in the GT-R, the GTS-T sat comfortably in the middle. With a price-tag in favor of the regular car enthusiast but still packing the punch of the stout Turbo RB20, it’s no surprise the R32 GTS-T has become synonymous with the JDM automotive scene, but with the availability of examples dwindling from Japan, these R32’s are now in short supply.

With the sleek look offered in the R32 platform, it’s no surprise these are loved by so many. Highlighting the striking curves and chiseled edges, this R32 GTS-T features aftermarket Aero that does a fantastic job of further accentuating its demeanor thanks to a low slung lip in front and Type M skirts and spats with Ganador style mirrors on the sides. With a touch of OEM+, this Skyline also features a GT-R style wing, reminiscent of it’s big brother, Godzilla. Further highlighting it’s KH2 color, aftermarket bright silver Gram Light 57C wheels sit in all wheel wells and provide a distinctive and simple stance.

Power has been left largely untouched with only minor modifications done to the RB20DET, ensuring longevity and reliability. Increasing intake noise and throttle response, a Blox filter fills the engine bay underneath an FET Sports strut brace. In the rear, sits a 5zigen Border 304 Speed catback exhaust system giving this RB20 powered Skyline an unforgettable tone. Displaying boost pressure readings, a Blitz boost gauge sits in front of the driver and a Razo shift knob and Momo steering wheel connect the driver to the road.

In the handling department, this Skyline focuses on the road ahead. In the front suspension, fully adjustable upper control arms give complete management over alignment, with height and dampening adjustment, thanks to it’s fully adjustable ISR coilovers. In the rear, stiffer aluminum bushings sit in the subframe to keep handling tight and responsive, with a Nismo rear strut brace above.  New Kenda tires hug the road and give a great balance between minimal road noise, and good traction in both wet and dry conditions.

With a history topped in laurels, the Nissan R32 Skyline in any configuration, is not only a great looking car, but one with heritage. Easy to source parts for, easy to modify, and easy to service, the Skyline GTS-T makes a great chassis for anyone looking to start high with their first JDM car, or for those with experience who are looking to get into what is undeniably, the centerpiece of the Japanese sports car market. Tastefully modified, and with just shy of 89K miles, this R32 is a standout example of Nissan’s classic turbocharged coupe.
