It really doesn’t get any cleaner than this R33. Finished in the distinct Silver Spark Metallic “KL0” this mostly OEM example has only driven a grand total of 65,207 miles in it’s entire life. Likely garage kept in Japan the paint is devoid of any clear coat fade , has no major scratches or dings, in fact the only flaw of note is a scuff in the front right of the bumper.
Powered by an inline 6 RB25DET motor that is paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. Although mostly stock this R33 does have some tricks up it’s sleeve in terms of quality aftermarket parts and features. The RB25 fires to life with the twist of a key and settles into a strong consistent idle. The transmission shifts comfortably up and down the gears.
It’s really no surprise to see the demand for the R33s rise in the United States. They didn’t receive as much love as they should have when they made their debut in the 90s. Nissan enthusiasts had expected a more boxy and angular car similar to the R32 and S13 and were surprised to see the more rounded styling of the R33. Even at a heavier weight than the R32 it saw many improvements in terms of performance, the quality of the materials used and the smoothness of the drive. The new RB25 had a larger displacement than the prior RB20 with the stock HP being somewhere in the 250hp range compared to the R32 212HP. The infamous dash bubble was nowhere to be seen and the overall drive was just smoother due to refined driving dynamics.
